Dr. Autrey, a native Texan, attended the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1989, after completing his undergrad studies in biology at U.T. in Austin. He also completed one year in a hospital residency program in Advanced Perio and Oral Surgery at Denver General Hospital in 1989. After practicing general dentistry in Austin for two years, he moved to Nacogdoches and has been with Nacogdoches Dental ever since.

When Dr. Autrey is not in the office, he loves being with his wife! They enjoy teaching Bible classes, hiking and running trail races in the mountains.
